Mono County Libraries are once again offering a Summer Reading Challenge for children ages 2 to 16 to encourage children to continue reading during summer vacation and to ensure that valuable reading skills will not be lost. This year’s theme is Catch the Reading Bug. Students may register at any of the seven Mono County Libraries during the month of June. Participants will receive books and small prizes as incentives to read.

Mammoth Branch

Join the Bookmobile and library staff for stories and games in the park!  Every Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mammoth Creek Park. Program ends September 5, 2008.
 
We now have a second Bilingual Story-time at the Mammoth Lakes Library.  Join us every Saturday morning for stories, songs and crafts at 10:30 AM. 

Family movie nights at the Mammoth Lakes Library: As part of the Summer Reading Challenge the Mammoth Library will show films for the whole family on Friday, July 25 th, Friday, August 8 th, 22 nd and September 5th. All movies begin at 7:00 PM and are free and open to the public.

SAM, the therapy reading dog, visits the Mammoth Lakes Library the first Wednesday of every month at 2:30 PM. Stop by to read him a story, give him a treat or just to pet him, he loves attention and loves to hear stories.
