Mono County Libraries serve the communities of Mono County in the heart of California's spectacular Eastern Sierra.

The Mono County Free Library was established in 1965 as a joint school-community library system. This library is operated by the Mono County Office of Education under the direction of the Mono County Superintendent of Schools.

The library has eight branches. Three of these branches are shared with school libraries; four are in public buildings. The bookmobile visits the north end of the county and the southern end of the county on alternating weeks. Public wireless access is now available at all of our branches!

We also now have access to Overdrive, a collection of digital audio and ebooks. First select "Sign In", then select Mono County Library in the [select library] dropdown box, and when prompted enter your library card number. You will then have access to digital copies that check out just like our regular books and audiobooks.

Renew Materials and Place Holds with the On Line Card Catalog

Mono County Library Patrons may sign into their accounts with iBistro to renew materials and place holds. When prompted for UserID and PIN, enter your library card number as your User ID and CHANGEME (this is case sensitive) as your PIN. Once you've logged in you can personalize your pin.

Meeting rooms are available in the new library. You can view the policies for use and download the reservation application. Call (760)934-2820 with questions.

The Building Fund is still raising money to provide technology and infrastructure for the new library. Please contact the county librarian if you would like to contribute.
