The program operates on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

The AARP free tax-aide program assists low-to-moderate income taxpayers in Mono and Inyo Counties. Sue Stavlo is the district coordinator for AARP Tax Aide in addition to being the Mammoth Lakes local coordinator. In the district are three free tax-aide centers: Mammoth Lakes Library, the George Lazito Conference  Center in Bishop, and the Owens Valley Career Development Center on the Piute reservation. Across the district are 25 volunteers. Each year in January, the volunteers are trained and certified through the IRS/AARP training program in the current year’s tax laws and software.
