MLFOLLogoNoTitle The Mammoth Lakes Friends of the Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established to raise funds to support our community library. We are a very active group of dedicated volunteers. We are young and old, men and women, full-time residents, second homeowners, students, professionals, and retirees, all with a common goal to support our library.

 What Do We Do?

Volunteer time to help sustain and improve library services, encourage reading and library use, assist with children's reading and story hour programs, and offer our services wherever needed. Read more...

Budget thousands of dollars annually to buy books, audiobooks, ebooks, movies, newspaper and magazine subscriptions, shelving and equipment, and supplies for the children's summer reading program and story hours.

Help with library events.

Sponsor Musical Story Times for Elementary School children.

Promote the Endowment Fund for Literacy in Mammoth Lakes.

Fund a rotating 5-year plan to enhance the library collection.

Award book scholarships annually to our local high school seniors.

Encourage and support art and culture in the community by finding local artists who wish to display their works on the Gallery Walls in the Ellie Randol Reading Room.

Strive to make our library a hub of community activity and information.
